Computers and printing
The APNK - Aotearoa People's Network Kaharoa provides free access to broadband internet services in public libraries so that everyone can access, experience and create digital content.
We have 7 computers available for public use in our Westport Library, and 3 in Reefton. If you have your own device, we provide free WiFi. We also offer the following:
- A4 Flatbed Scanner - Free to use, scan to your own USB stick.
- A4 Printer available - colour or black and white. You can print from our computers or your own device.
- Photocopier available - colour or black and white.
- 3 Chromebooks, free to hire and use while in the Westport Library.
See here for our printing fees and charges.
Printing from your own device:
This can now be done from anywhere (including a computer at home) by email.
- Create a new email message and enter the address [email protected]. Leave the Subject Line blank.
- Then to Print a file, attach it (eg PDF, Word, JPG) to the email (you can attach multiple documents to a single email). The content of the email will not be printed, only the attachments. Or if you want to print the email contents send just the email (no attachments).
- Send the email.
You will receive a confirmation email from [email protected]. If several minutes have passed and you haven’t received it, check your Spam/Junk folder.
At the top of the email, it will tell you what the JOB ID for your print job is. Make a note of this number - library staff need this to find the print job in the system.
